UFOs Return to Chilean Copper Mines

Is there something about copper mines that’s attractive to UFOs? It sure seems that way as workers at a copper mine in Chile this week watched a UFO dart back and forth across the sky over them for a number of minutes. It’s a scene that occurred at another Chilean copper mine just two years ago. It has even prompted the Chilean government to investigate. What’s going on here?

On April 14, 2015, workers at Minas de Cerro Colorado in Iquique, Chile, saw this UFO and recorded its activities. it’s clearly visible in the daytime sky and its movements suggest something other than a balloon or conventional aircraft.

Interest in this UFO is high because it closely resembles another UFO seen over the Collahuasi copper mine, also in northern Chile, in April 2013. Four workers observed that UFO for over an hour moving silently overhead at an estimated altitude of 2000 feet.

They took pictures and, after keeping them quiet for a number of months, revealed them to the mine’s chief engineer who turned them over to the CEFAA (Committee for the Studies of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena) in Chile’s Ministerial Department of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC).

In July 2014 the CEFAA issued its report ruling out weather, clouds, planes, balloons and drones. They cautiously qualified it as a UFO but gave no speculation on what the object could be.

According to the government report: “It is an object or phenomenon of great interest, and it can be qualified as a UFO”

The northern Norte Grande part of Chile, a center for the nation’s copper mining, has had a number of other UFO sightings. In April 2010, a UFO was spotted and photographed flying rapidly over Iquique for at least ten minutes before leaving.

What is attracting these UFOs to the Chilean copper mines? Will the CEFAA investigate this latest one? Is copper a key metal in the construction of alien spacecrafts? Some specimens alleged to be part of the Roswell debris have contained copper. Is it a fuel? A weapon? Are the miners being watched to insure they don’t make this discovery? Does the Chilean government know the answer?
